Hello Friends and members of N.I.C.E Fund Holland.

Greetings to you all from N.I.C.E India. Before I give the report on the new projects for the year 2009-2010 let me say that the year 2008-2009 has been very fruitful with all the school children for whom we sponsored has passed their respective standards and have been promoted further. All the six children from Amy have passed. Krishna also passed his final year on school and decided to do Hotel Management as his further studies, because of his hard work and good results N.I.C.E is supporting him for the college.

This year we have included yet another school in our association namely anganwadi school Colva which makes a total of seven schools, we promised Benches,Desks, Blackboards,teaching aids and toys for the new school which will a new look for it.

The admission package in all the seven school remained the same as usual except a little rise in admission fees which I’ve already informed to my superiors and they agreed on it.

The new requirements for St.Andrews High School Goa Velha are Benches,Desks,CD player Rhymes CDs,Closet for books and playing & teaching aids.

When my colleagues were in India in the month of February we visited many villages in Goa.During our visits we came across some families who had very poor and sad background one man from that family who was the sole earner had a accidental death due to a fall from tree while plucking mangoes which was his profession. Just a week passed for his death when we visited leaving behind his wife and two young children along with his old helpless parents. Looking at the situation of the family N.I.C.E has decided to support this family for their child’s education.

Another fact is that of a poor boy on the beach who got epilepsy at the young age of 14 who cannot stand by himself, he was in urgent need of certain medication and support so we have provided him with special standing aid equipment and medication by which he showed improvement.

We have seen good results in whatever task we have taken and entrusted to and that gives us more enthusiasm and push to work hard for more good projects with a positive attitude.

Hence N.I.C.E hopes that all this hard work and better results from our children will create generosity among all our well wishers and sponsors to continue the good work going.

I along with all the members thank each and everyone who contributed towards N.I.C.E.

Dear friends and members of N.I.C.E FUND holland.
Greetings to you all from me and N.I.C.E india.
Let me begin with our new projects for the year 2008-2009 and our friend Milou who visited india for the first time.
she was very enthusiastic and inspired looking at the poor living conditions of the people here.
As she was on her study tour she visited many villages and schools to make a survey for her assignment back home in holland.
In the process i along with her and my other friends came accross two more schools namely BALWADI K.G SCHOOL and MARINA HIGH SCHOOL VERNA.
The children in the schools had no desks and benches to sit and even the basic necessities like shoes,uniforms,books etc.N.I.C.E has promised the management of the school to provide the same for the year 2008-2009 which will make the children feel comfortable in healthy atmosphere in future.
Children from all the schools had great fun for this year's picnic and were very grateful.
There's a poor family in nuvem who lost their only daughter suffering for long from blood cancer leaving behind her two young children with her old parents who find it difficult to feed and raise them so N.I.C.E has contributed to supply them rice for the full year.
One boy Rajesh who was finding it difficult to express himself is being given classes in english to communicate better with others also children from poor families are given tutions for their basic education by Naizy.
Sunita and Krishna are the two poor children from two different families,they are supported by N.I.C.E for their higher education in law and technical respectively.
A poor family from colva village is provided with the gas comfort for cooking in the house and two bicycles for needy children.
Our work towards philanthropy is expanding significantly every year from a small begining with the number of schools being six from this year to be taken care by N.I.C.E FUND.
All this is possible because of the joint efforts made by all the members and the sponsors who extend their kind and continuos support.
My personal thanks and appreciation for everyone who keeps this nice work going along with the N.I.C.E india.

Dear friends and members of N.I.C.E fund Holland,

greetings to you all from N.I.C.E beneficiaries here in india.

In my last news letter i mentioned about our new projects for the year 2007-2008.Almost half school academic year passed since june and the new projects which we undertook are going full swing and what was sanctioned to all the schools have been distributed and paid.

Rains have stopped finally being a long monsoon this year making it difficult for school children,now they can attend their classes with new shoes and socks again which have been given to them.

Students of St.Andrews Goa Velha and Mae Dos Pobres high schools Nuvem have been distributed with toothpaste and toothbrushes second time.

Teachers and students are remembering and awaiting anxiously for this year's picnic which they have enjoyed every year sponsored by N.I.C.E.

Principal of Mae Dos Pobres high school Fr.Alvaro is glad and proud about the approval of new school building construction plan.The new school has been constructed and father is expecting help from N.I.C.E in furnishing of the classrooms.

Another good news is that the principal of Infant Jesus high school from colva Fr.Diago has got the plan approved for the new school building which can accomodate both students of morning and evening sessions.

Since the number of admissions of children are rising every year in colva there was an urgent need to extend the school building which they hope to complete by year end.

In order to finish the work the management and the principal of the school has appealed for help officially which i will put before my committe when they are here to visit india in january.

All the things which we had promised to the poor families in colva village for this year have been provided.

Principal of Vidhya Vihar high school cortalim have requested if we could help to do the admissions of 10 or 15 more poor children for next year.Tution students are doing well in their studies and in computers.

Finally i being incharge of all the administration, and the accounts have been maintained for this year to be checked by my superiors.

HELLO ADRIE,MEMBERS AND FRIENDS OF N.I.C.E FUND HOLLAND.

GREETINGS FROM US TO YOU ALL AND GOOD WISHES.

HERE I'M AGAIN WITH SOME NEWS OF N.I.C.E ACTIVITIES IN INDIA.THE MOONSOON HAS JUST GOT OVER MAKING IT DIFFICULT FOR THE CHILDREN TO GO AND COME BACK FROM SCHOOL EVERYDAY,NOW THE RAINS HAS STOPPED AND THE CHILDREN ARE HAPPY AGAIN CLEAN.THEY CAN WEAR THE SHOES WHICH WE I HAVE DISTRIBUTED TO ALL THE THREE SCHOOLS.THE BENCHES AND TABLES WHICH WE HAD PROMISED TO MAE DOS POBRES HIGH SCHOOL ARE READY PAINTED.I WILL DELIVER THEM AT THE END OF THIS MONTH.SCHOOL CHILDREN ARE ON THREE WEEKS HOLIDAYS AFTER ANSWERING THEIR MID TREM EXAMS.ALL THE SIX CHILDREN FROM AMY GOT GOOD RESULTS IN THEIR EXAMS AND ANITA GOT FIRST RANK IT WAS SATISFYING TO SEE THEIR REPORT CARDS HOW WELL THEY DID IN THEIR EXAMS.THE FEES FOR EXTRA LESSONS ARE PAID TO VERA FOR HALF YEAR FOR AMY'S CHILDREN.THE POLIO BOY PIRI IS COMING REGURLARLY FOR EXTRA LESSONS WITH HIS NEW CYCLE.

THE NEW BOY KRISHNA WHOM WE HAD PROMISED TO PAY FOR EXTRA LESSONS HAS ALREADY STARTED GOING AND I'VE VISITED THE PLACE IN MARGAO IT'S A REGISTERED INSTITUTION FOR EXTRA LESSONS FOR 10TH STANDARD STUDENTS.I'VE TOLD HIM TO KEEP THE ORIGINAL BILLS AND THE SAME WILL BE PAID WHEN YOU WILL VISIT INDIA IN JANUARY.

I'VE FOUND FEW MORE CHILDREN FROM POOR FAMILIES TO BE ADMITTED FOR NEXT YEAR IN DIFFERENT SCHOOLS.I'LL KEEP ALL THE DETAILS OF THESE STUDENTS TO BE DISCUSSED WHEN YOU COME BACK WITH OTHER MEMBERS.

HEREBY I WISH ALL THE MEMBERS AND FRIENDS A PLEASANT WINTER IN GOOD HEALTH.

DEAR FRIENDS AND MEMBERS OF N.I.C.E FUND,

IT'S BEEN SIX SUCCESSFUL PHILANTROPHIC YEARS SINCE THE YEAR 2OO0 AND HERE I'M AGAIN WITH SOME NEWS OF N.I.C.E ACTIVITIES IN INDIA.

THIS SUMMER I WAS IN HOLLAND FOR MY YEARLY VISIT TO MY SENIOR MEMBERS OF THE ASSOCIATION TO GIVE LAST YEARS ACCOUNTS AND TO DISCUSS THE FUTURE ACTIVITIES ABOUT THE EDUCATION IN INDIA.

IT WAS SOO SATISFYING TO SEE THE ENTHUSIASM AND HOW HARD MY COLLAGUES AND FRIENDS WORK TO ARRANGE N.I.C.E ACTIVITIES TO RAISE FUNDS BESIDES THEIR BUSY SCHEDULE OF USUAL WORK AND SPARE THEIR PRECIOUS TIME FOR A GOOD CAUSE.

EVERY YEAR WE COME ACCROS MORE SCHOOLS IN RURAL VILLAGES OF INDIA WITH CLASSROOMS IN VERY BADSTATE SOME WITHOUT BENCHS AND TABLES TO SIT AND IN A UNHEALTHY HYGIENE.THE SCHOOLS ARE ATTENDED BY CHILDREN OF POOR FAMILIES.WE TRY TO SUPPORT AND FULFIL SOME OF THEIR NEEDS AND GIVE THEM A NEW LOOK WHICH BRINGS SMILES ON THEIR FACES.ONE SUCH SCHOOL WE UNDERTOOK THIS YEAR NAMED ST. ANDREWS HIGH SCHOOL IN GOA VELHA. IT'S BEEN PROVIDED WITH BENCHES AND TABLES AND FULL ADMISSION PACKAGE FOR 20 STUDENTS FOR THEIR FUTURE EDUCATION.

TO KEEP ALL THIS GOING AND SAVE THEIR FUTURE EDUCATION I ALONG WITH MY N.I.C.E MEMBERS AND ON BEHALF OF ALL WHO GETS BENEFITT HERE KINDLY THANKS AND APPEAL TO ALL THE SPONSORS WHO EXTENDED THEIR SUPPORT IN THE PAST IN OUR WORK TO RAISE FUNDS AND EXPECT THE SAME IN FUTURE.
